Harry Dent has been one of the biggest "bulls" around since the 1980's; predicting the longest bull stock market run accurately for the past 20 years or so. I remember having his first book, The Roaring 2000's sitting next to my chair in the living room for years- it was that riveting!
Like a road map to the future...

You could just tell it was based on well-thought out reasoning about demographics, the science that tells you what people will be doing, predictably, at various ages... which then tells you further what the economy as a whole will be doing when the bulk of a population is at any given age.

Ah, we were once young, the baby boomers and myself, and innovative, and energetic, and hard-working... but, alas, now we are on the cusp of old age, and eventually (if we read this book and save ourselves financially), we will retire, en masse!

We gave the world, and the U.S. in particular, a great long run- probably the greatest sustained bull run in the economy of any nation, ever! And now, we will give the world the greatest depression, well, maybe not ever, but bad enough. Sorry about that, but we are only following our demographic destiny.

At any rate, I would get this book if I were you! We are (probably) only getting one more short, bull run in our stock market- Obama's huge, FDR-like stimulus plan will get things going for one last hurrah- but then, in late 2009, after you've cashed out your stocks and bonds, and are sitting on a pile of money market money...
